Residents Urged To 'Fill The Hill' For Crucial Play-Off Semi-Final At Burgess Hill Town FC

Burgess Hill residents are being urged to come and 'Fill the Hill' on Tuesday evening (April 29th) when Burgess Hill Town Football Club face Margate in the Isthmian League South East Division PlayOff Semi-Final.

The Hillians have home advantage in this knockout tie, with the winners going on to face either Sittingbourne or Merstham in the final - which is due to take place just three days later on Friday 2nd May.

Matchday Information
The match between Burgess Hill Town and Margate will kick off 7:30pm at the HomeCall Carpets Community Stadium, Leylands Park, Maple Drive, Burgess Hill, RH15 8DL.

Entry to the ground will be available at the earlier time of 5pm with Fans Urged To Attend EARLY to ensure entry to the game.

Tickets can only be purchased at the turnstiles on the evening of the game, with cash and card being accepted

Pricing: Adults £10; Seniors £6; Under 18s £1.

There is VERY limited parking available, so please consider alternative ways to arrive at the ground.

Extra catering and refreshment points will be provided around the ground - which will all be open from 5pm. Additional toilets are being brought in to meet the expected demand.

How The League Season Ended

Burgess Hill finished their 42-game league season in an excellent third place, amassing 90 points along the way. Sittingbourne were second with 101 points. Ramsgate topped the table with 109 points - securing the only automatic promotion spot to the Isthmian League Premier Division.

Speaking after the Hillians' final home league fixture on Bank Holiday Monday, Joint-Manager Jay Lovett said:
"It was important for us to get home advantage in the play-off game, I think it's a big plus for us and with a large crowd size, it can create a big atmosphere for the players and give them an extra 10-15% advantage as well.

"Margate have hit some form as well recently, so it's going to be a very tough play-off game, but our recent results and the way we've played, it puts us in good stead where we're pleased with ourselves going into it."

Previous Meetings
Burgess Hill had the better of Margate in their two league fixtures this season, with a 2-1 win at home on October 15th, with the reverse fixture taking place just three weeks later with Hill earning a point on the road.
