Girl Arrested Outside Wetherspoon Armed With A Bottle Of Bleach

Sussex Police are seeking witnesses after arresting a 13-year-old girl outside Wetherspoon in Burgess Hill Town Centre on Friday evening on suspicion of public order offences.



The incident took place just after 10:15pm on Friday 9th February where an altercation occured between the girl and a group of people leaving the Six Gold Marlets.

She was arrested on suspicion of using racially aggravated abuse and threats, using threatening behaviour, and possession of an offensive weapon - a plastic bottle of bleach.

There were no assaults and no injuries

After being interviewed she was released on police bail until 10 March while enquiries continue.

PC James Turner said; "If you saw what happened, please contact us online or by calling 101, quoting serial 1330 of 09/02."


Spread the word! Police are seeking witnesses of the altercation outside Wetherspoon on Friday night.
