'Adventure Avenue' To Open In Burgess Hill Town Centre

Parents will soon have a new option for entertaining the kids in Burgess Hill with the news that a new play centre is to open in the town centre.
'Adventure Avenue' is moving into the retail unit formerly occupied by Sussex Appliances next to the bandstand.
Mid Sussex District Council granted permission for a temporary change of use on the unit from retail to leisure last month.
Adenture Avenue is being billed as a 'Stay and play where kids can feel free to express their individuality through role play in any one of our play areas.'
The proposed layout of the facility sees half given over to tables, chairs and a food service area, with the rest of the space used for the various themed children's play areas.
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sandwiches will be available.
In the long term, NewRiver Retail are to merge this unit with 5 others immediately to the right to form a large store, with Argos an early contender to take over, but this may not happen for 3-5 years.
Adventure Avenue's available operating hours will be 07:30-18:00 Monday-Friday, and 08:30-18:00 on Saturdays. They recently applied to open on Sundays from 9am - 5pm and are currently awaiting a decision on this by MSDC.
The inside of Adventure Avenue shows the facility is some way off from opening at the moment.
