councillor anne jonesVirtual Reality Trampoline Park Announced
For Burgess Hill

1st April 2017
by Peter Chapman

Exciting times for Burgess Hill as it has been announced that Hi-NRG Leisure are bringing a trampoline park to Burgess Hill

Pending planning permission, the park will be located at the Baybon Business Park on the Victoria Industrial Estate. The premises were last home to CJ's Playland but has laid empty since their closure over a decade ago.

It will be a great boost to the local economy and will provide a much needed additional leisure facility in the town. 6 new full-time positions will be created along with opportunites for a number of casual staff.

Neil Pettingale, director of Hi-NRG Leisure said:
I'm delighed that we are able to bring our next generation VR Trampoline parks to Burgess Hill. Our patented technology allows us to take the fun of a trampoline park and add a virtual reality twist which creates a whole new experience.

VR Dodge Ball will be a bit hit along with traditional games such a noughts and crosses, and snakes and ladders, only in the VR version, you are the playing pieces and have to jump to the relevant squares on the board. We're also looking at licensing for a first person shooter experience which will be available to adults at our planned evening sessions.

Hi-NRG Leisure hope to obtain planning permission early this Summer with a view to opening during the Autumn.

Neil Pettingale added: The venue already has much of the infrastructure in place which we require, including a kitchen area and a cafe. Parking will not be a problem as it already housed an entertainment venue so I see there being no hiccups with the local council. Once we win approval, we can be up and running in around 10 weeks.

Do you think this will be a success, or just a poor silly fad?

Spread the word, a virtual reality trampoline park is coming to Burgess Hill!
