burgess hill pantomime puss in bootsPanto At The Martlets Hall Lives On For Another Year

25th October 2016
By Peter Chapman

Great news for fans of the annual Burgess Hill Pantomime, for the delayed closure of the Martlets Hall means that Burgess Hill Theatre Club can present 'Puss In Boots' at the venue this January.

It was thought that the club's 'Sleeping Beauty' presentation in January 2016 was going to be its last, but a delay in commencing the redevelopment of the Martlets Shopping Centre has seen the Hall taking bookings well into 2017.

Club chairperson Rosalind wood says:
“We always planned to continue to put on a seasonal family production but it’s fantastic that we can do so again in what has been its home for decades.”

It will be the sixth time that the club have staged 'Puss In Boots' since 1966. June Colledge co-wrote the original script back in 1965 and it's her daughter, Suzi Allan, who will be directing the show this January, and she's excited to return for another year.

Suzi said:
“It's always a joy to return to one of mum's shows and we've got a fantastic cast ready to give another memorable performance”

'Puss in Boots' will be performed at The Martlets Hall in January 2017 and tickets will be available from November.
