Sussex Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a fire destroyed NTC Building at Leylands Park Recreation Ground in the early hours of Tuesday 18th October.

The Statement Reads:

Appeal for witnesses to fire in Burgess Hill

On Tuesday, 18 October, just before 3am, Sussex Fire & Rescue Service were called to a fire in Maple Drive, Burgess Hill.

The building, owned by the Nautical Training Corp. and used by various organisations, is sited near to Burgess Hill Football Club, appears to have been deliberately set on fire.

Unfortunately, despite using four pumps the hut could not be saved and was completely destroyed.

We are appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious, around about this time, to contact us on 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 0060 of 18/10.
