ollie the dogFundraising Bid To Save Leg Of Uninsurable Dog 'Ollie'

3rd February 2016
By Peter Chapman

The Kemp family of Burgess Hill have set up a GoFundMe page for their 10-year-old dog Ollie who faces losing his leg after a terrible incident with a cattle grid.

The Terrier/German Shepherd cross suffered a double fracture on his front left leg which needs to be pinned and plated at an estimated cost of £2500-£3000.

Due to previous medical issues, Ollie is uninsurable, leaving the Kemp family struggling to fund the treatment due to a recent redundancy.

Ollie is described as a very lively dog with the mental age of 5! He loves nothing more than to chase a ball for as long as his owners will engage him. Ollie was adopted at the age of 1 from a rescue centre and his grown up with the family's two children.

Regarding the fundraising, the family have written:
Any amount that you are able to donate would be very much appreciated no matter how big or small. If you are unable to make a donation please would you be kind enough to help us simply by sharing this page.
