**Press Release** NewRiver Retail, the leaseholders of The Martlets Shopping Centre will be displaying their plans for the £65 million regeneration of Burgess Hill town centre.

The plans, which were submitted in a planning application to Mid Sussex District Council at the end of last month are currently the subject of formal consultation as part of the Council’s normal planning decision-making process. (More information on how you can respond here)

Key elements in the comprehensive proposals include a 10 screen Cineworld Cinema, a 63 bed Travelodge hotel, 142 residential units, a purpose-built modern library, *283 additional car parking spaces and an extra 70,000 square feet of retail space. (*Not true, the number is much less with a LOSS of public parking spaces)

Where You Can See The Plans
An exhibition of the plans along with an animated ‘fly through’ may be viewed at the Burgess Hill Town Council offices, 96 Church Walk, Burgess Hill from Thursday 12th November until Friday 27th November during the normal office hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 09.00 – 17.00; Wednesday - 10.00 – 17.00 and Saturday - 09.30 – 12.30.

On Tuesday 10th November, the exhibition will also be on display at Unit 18 in The Martlets Shopping Centre (next to Euronics Domestic Appliances) between 3pm and 7pm. Representatives will be available to answer any questions on the submitted planning application and provide further information.
