martlets shopping centre redevelopmentHOMELESS - The 23 businesses that'll be out on their ear if the Martlets redevelopment plan is approved

25th October 2015
By Peter Chapman

One negative of NewRiver Retail's redevelopment plan for the Martlets Shopping Centre is that many businesses will be homeless.

They'll be faced with either having to find alternative premises that meet their size and budget requirements (near Impossible), relocate to another town, or cease trading completely.

There are 23 businesses at risk. In total, NewRiver Retail will be dispensing of 31 units, 8 of which currently sit empty.

Here are the businesses that are in danger from the proposals:

What do you think of NewRiver Retail proposing to dispose of 31 smaller retail units? Do you think the council and the developer should reprovide them elsewhere in the town?
