kings way home development burgess hillPlanning Committee Slam "Poor Quality" Of Homes For The East Of Kings Way Development
11th December 2014
by Peter Chapman

Sunley Developments will have to go back to the drawing board after District Councillors unanimously agreed to deferr the plans tabled for the first 76 homes in the 'East Of Kings Way' Development.

Council Planning Officers had recommended that the application be approved, but councillors chose to go on the information provided by their own Urban Designer and the Design Review Panel who had roundly criticised the plans put before them.

Sunleys will now either have to table new property designs which are to the council's liking or risk going to appeal where neither party would be fully confident of victory.

The council are expected to give Sunleys until at least February to revise their plans.

BHU's full report will be coming soon.

Spread the word, district councillors actually voted against a planning application involving Burgess Hill.
