Traveller Invasion August 2012

In August 2012 a huge convoy of travellers were evicted from Brighton and decided to head for Mid Sussex. Here's the story of how they went from Burgess Hill - Hurstpierpoint - Hassocks - Burgess Hill - Cuckfield - Lindfield - Clayton.
This invasion is still ongoing, keep checking for updates.

Traveller Invasion August 2011

In August 2011 Fairfield recreaction ground was taken over by Travellers. A week later they were evicted, they moved on to Maple Drive and then Wisden Avenue. During their time in the area both the Burgess Hill Boys Club and the Cherry Tree Activity Centre were broken into. Hmmmmmm!

Traveller Invasion March 2005

The first ever traveller invasion that we covered here on Burgess Hill Uncovered.
A group of travellers gained entry to some wasteland on the Victoria Industrial Estate bringing with them an interesting collection of vehicles.
By today's standards, this invasion was nothing!
