Burgess Hill skatefest 2004 logo

Greetings extreme sports fans!

Saturday July the 23rd was the date of the third Extreme Sports competition in Burgess Hill.
This years event was named Skate Jam, replacing the name Skatefest which was used for the previous two events.

There were categories for Rollerbladers, Skateboarders and BMX riders of different age groups.

Unlike last year where each competitor has 90 seconds on the course alone, competitors were sent out in groups of 3 and 4 and had 3 and a half minutes to do their thing.
And with the skate park hosting it's first official competition since its big expansion, this was a good move to keep the crowd interested.

This years panel of judges were actually made up of people who know a thing or two about Extreme Sports, including the legendary Dave White, the man who is famous for falling on his head last year!

Once again, there was a large turnout of people of all ages to support the event, as Burgess Hill's finest battled it out to become champion of there respective deciplines.

Burgess Hill Uncovered were on hand to snap the best of the action and hired McCarthy TV to shoot video footage (coming soon!)
