Robert has lived in Burgess Hill for most of his adult life and is the current chair of Burgess Hill Liberal Democrats.

A qualified solicitor he works as the in-house legal counsel for a national asset finance company as well as its head of credit.

Robert is the Chair of Burgess Hill Fairtrade and has managed the Fairtrade Festival for 7 years.

He recently co-founded The One, a youth based music competition covering West Sussex, East Sussex and Kent. Robert set up the Save the Orion campaign.

He is a passionate advocate for the arts and arts development in the town.

He firmly believes that the community should have a greater say in the nature of the town’s redevelopment and is fighting the proposal to bulldoze the Martlets unless a replacement is built first
