Franklands Ward
Gerry Carter will be standing as the UKIP candidate for Franklands Town ward for both Parish and Town Council for Burgess Hill - Mid Sussex District Council.
Has lived in Burgess Hill since 1972, and has lived in Franklands ward since 1985.
Now semi retired after 50 years full time employment. Now registered with Matchtech to continue instructing on an Ad-Hoc basis with Schneider Electric on Foxboro: Distributed Control Systems and Triconex: Emergency Shutdown Systems (Oil refineries, Nuclear and Pharmaceutical etc.).
Gerry has considerable experience with cultural appreciation (Poland and Romania during Soviet occupation) also more recent travels to destinations like Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Russia, Dubai, China, Thailand, Japan and Australia to name but a few destinations.
He strongly believes that parking charges need to be reduced substantially.
He is very concerned for the countryside /environment with so many building projects planned, that will without doubt have a profound impact on our local infrastructure and indeed beautiful Sussex scenery!
One of his biggest concerns is that we don’t have enough spaces for our children to go to school and get a proper education.
His Grandson will be 3 next year, by the time he hits school age where will he be able to start his education?
Married since 1971 and has 2 daughters and a son.
