The site of the Keymer Tile and Brickworks obtained planning permission for 475 new homes during 2014. Croudace homes are the developer and began tearing down the old buildings in late 2014. Remodeling of the claypit began in early 2015. Construction of the 125 homes in 'phase one' began at the start of 2016. Planning application 09/03697/OUT
