Out latest BHU Business Spotlight feature takes a look at GameStar, the independent DVD, Music and Video Game Stockist/Traders who are located on Church Walk in Burgess Hill Town Centre.
We met up with Rob, Company director, to find out more about the business.
Who Are GameStar?
We are an independent family-run business. We started with stores in Brighton and Hove before coming to Burgess Hill in 2008.
What do GameStar sell?
Where do we begin! We stock games for all the major consoles - Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS. We also sell games consoles and other accessories like controllers and spare cables. Retro gaming items are something that we're seeing more of, but no sooner do we get them in, they go flying out the door!
We stock DVD and Blu-rays discs across many different genres including films, TV series, comedy, wrestling, along with a large childrens section. We sell a selection of posters too with the Minecraft ones proving very popular.
Computer Repair
A service exclusive to our Burgess Hill store is an in-house computer workshop run by Paul from KPA. With 18 years experience including three years with Sussex Police, Paul offers a variety of computer repair and upgrade services along with free inspections and very competitive quotes. What sets GameStar apart from other business that buy, sell and trade used media?
Unlike our competitors, we never sell our items at a higher price than you can find brand new.
We pride ourselves at selling items at genuine pre-owned prices which we constantly compare against online and local competitors.
Every item traded in is checked for quality with scratched discs resurfaced in-house on our industrial disc repair machine.
We have a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere in our shop. We have plenty of room for pushchairs and the disabled.
Offers and Promotions?
All of our DVDs and Blu-rays priced £5 and under are included in a three for the price of two promotion.
Students holding a valid i.d receive a 10% discount across all of our optical media. We also have a free customer membership scheme which offers in-store discounts and promotions.
