Get Burgess Hill On The Monopoly Board

Following the Mid Sussex Times only printing one paragraph of information about the Monopoly campaign, Burgess Hill Uncovered stepped in and sent a press release to the Mid Sussex Leader on Tuesday 8th May. Ace reporter Richard Worley was quick to respond by telephone and the article was quickly put together as a matter of urgency ready for Thursday's edition of the newspaper. With time short, a photoshoot was arranged for the next morning at 8:30 in St Johns Park.
5 members of the facebook.com group braved the wet weather to proudly display Ashley Wells' giant poster made up of 12 sheets of A4 paper sellotaped together. The report and photo appeared on page 3!

The facebook.com group are very appreciative of Richard Worley and the Leader newspaper for supporting our campaign with such a fine piece of exposure. It is a shame that the other local newspaper didn't share the same sense of local pride on this issue at the time.
