A bonus snow day in Burgess Hill resulted in the idea to gather some people together in St Johns park to finally record a Burgess Hill themed version of the ‘Harlem Shake’ viral video craze.

A Facebook event page was quickly created and with just a few hours notice we had 20 willing people to appear on camera with plenty more watching on from behind. We also had lots of kids happy to get involved by pelting Gordon the Gorilla with snowballs. Gordon the Gorilla even approached some community support officers to appear in the video, but they sadly declined.

It was of course rather cold so we didn’t hang around doing lots of ‘takes’ although scandalously Mr BHU’s sausage fingers resulted in probably the best scene not actually being recorded (Sorry the chaps in Lycra)
